It also provides precise science based health information to the\npublic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FDA regulates the following which is a list of traditionally-recognized\nproducts that comes under FDA\u2019s regulatory authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fdahelp.us\/food.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Foods<\/a>, which includes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Dietary Supplements<\/li><li>Bottled water<\/li><li>Vegetable and fruit products<\/li><li>Food additives<\/li><li>Infant formulas<\/li><li>Other food products (some of the food products\nare regulated by USDA such as meat, poultry and egg products).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fdahelp.us\/drugs.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Drugs<\/a>, which includes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Over the counter (OTC) drugs<\/li><li>Prescription drugs( Brand name and generic)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fdahelp.us\/medicaldevices.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Medical devices<\/a>, which includes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Simple items from bed board and cane<\/li><li>Dental devices<\/li><li>Surgical devices, implants and prosthetics<\/li><li>Complex medical devices such as intraocular lens\nand pacemakers.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vaccines, Blood &amp; Biologics, which includes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Allergenics<\/li><li>Blood and Blood products<\/li><li>Tissue and it products<\/li><li>cellular and gene therapy products<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Radiation emitting products, which includes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Laser products<\/li><li>X-ray equipment<\/li><li>Ultrasonic therapy equipment<\/li><li>Mercury Vapor lamps<\/li><li>Sunlamps<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fdahelp.us\/cosmetics.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Cosmetics<\/a>, which includes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>skin moisturizers and cleansers<\/li><li>Color additives found in makeup and personal\ncare products<\/li><li>Nail polish and perfumes<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Animal &amp; Veterinary, which includes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pet foods<\/li><li>Livestock feeds<\/li><li>Animal drugs and devices<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tobacco Products, which includes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cigarattes<\/li><li>cigarette tobacco<\/li><li>roll-your-own tobacco<\/li><li>smokeless tobacco<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alcohol products are regulated by The Department of the\nTreasury\u2019s Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) which monitors the\nproduction, importation, wholesale distribution, labeling and advertising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Consumer Product Safety Commission(CPSC) ensure the safety\nof consumer goods such as children toys, power tools, cigarette lighters,\nhousehold chemical products and products that cause a &nbsp;fire, electrical, chemical or mechanical\nhazard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meats, Poultry and certain egg products are regulated by US\nDepartment of Agriculture (USDA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulates many\ntraits of pesticides which determines the amount of pesticide used during\ncultivation, processing and how much can remain on the food we buy.
